About the event
Did you learn how to play at Mahjong & Mimosas at the YMCA? We're back with a Refresh Lesson to reinforce what you learned and build your confidence at the mahj table.
Guided Play is a less structured, supportive session where newer players can play full games with an experienced League Member. The session is intended to reinforce what you learned in your lesson, and provide a lower pressure setting to ask questions, clarify the rules, and reinforce proper etiquette.
Guided play bridges the gap between taking a beginner class and jumping into independent social play.
The format usually works like this:
Live Coaching: You play your own hands, but the experienced League Member steps in to help you read your card, select a good hand, and navigate the "Charleston" passing phase.
